Gregory Baylin is a Managing Director at ONCAP, ONEX Corporation’s mid-market private equity platform. He joined ONCAP in 2000. Previously, he worked for more than five years in Bank of Nova Scotia’s investment banking unit. Mr. Baylin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University.

Pat Bell is a consultant in the natural resources sector with experience in both the public and private sectors. In 2014, he was an Executive Vice President with Conifex Timber Inc., a forestry company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. He continues to serve as a director of Conifex. Between 2001 and 2013, Mr. Bell served three terms as a member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, including serving as Minister of Forests from 2008 to 2011 and Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation from 2011 to 2013.

Michael Lay is the Managing Partner of ONCAP, ONEX Corporation’s mid-market private equity platform. He joined ONCAP in 2000 and has worked in the private equity business for more than 25 years. Prior to joining ONCAP, he served as Senior Vice President, Private Equity at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board for more than eight years. He was also Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at VERSUS Technologies Inc. Mr. Lay holds an Honours in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Hugh MacDiarmid is a corporate director with more than 30 years of senior management experience across a broad range of industries. He is currently a director of SeaCube Container Leasing Ltd., Terrestrial Energy Inc. and BWXT Canada Inc. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. from 2008 to 2011, President and Chief Executive Officer of Laidlaw Transit Inc. from 2003 to 2005, Executive Vice President (Commercial) of Canadian Pacific Railway from 1995 to 2001, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumonics Inc. from 1987 to 1990. Early in his career, Mr. MacDiarmid was an Associate and then Principal with McKinsey & Company, a leading international management consulting firm. Mr. MacDiarmid earned an Honours in Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University, and an MBA from Stanford University, where he graduated as a Miller Scholar.

Robert McCurdy was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Renewable Energy in August 2012. Mr. McCurdy’s international career has spanned the chemical, construction materials and mining industries in Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe in successively senior roles. Prior to joining Pinnacle, Mr. McCurdy spent more 12 years with LafargeHolcim Ltd., a leading global producer of building materials. Most recently, he was the firm’s Managing Director for India, overseeing 80 manufacturing plants nationwide in a fast-growing market. Prior to this, Mr. McCurdy was based in Paris where he served as LafargeHolcim’s Corporate Vice President of Quality, Manufacturing and Vertical Integration. Mr. McCurdy earned his Bachelor of Science with Honors from Queens University in 1980.

Jane O’Hagan is a corporate director and former senior railway executive. She currently serves as a board member of USD Partners GP LLC (the general partner of USD Partners LP) and Descartes Systems Group Inc. Previously, she held several management positions at Canadian Pacific Railway. She was Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President from 2011 to 2014, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales from 2010 to 2011, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Yield from 2008 to 2009, Vice President of Strategy and External Affairs from 2005 to 2008, Vice President of Strategy, Research and New Market Development from 2003 to 2005, and Assistant Vice President of Strategy and Research from 2002 to 2003. Ms. O’Hagan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario, and has completed graduate studies in Program and Policy Studies from the University of Western Ontario. Ms. O’Hagan is also a holder of the Director designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, which she achieved in June 2016.

Leroy Reitsma joined Pinnacle Renewable Energy in 2007 and was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in May 2011. Mr. Reitsma is focused on the development and operation of high-performance production and logistical assets, and led the development of the Company’s production and terminal facilites. In his role as President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Reitsma is also a director of Lavington Pellet Inc., Smithers Pellet Inc., and Houston Pellet Inc. He is a Certified Professional Accountant (CMA) with 18 years of experience in the forest products industry prior to joining Pinnacle, including 12 years with Canfor Corporation in various operational, management and finance roles.

Pinnacle currently operates seven wood pellet production facilities throughout western Canada, and one production facility in Alabama. Pinnacle’s Canadian production facilities are all located on major rail lines allowing for efficient rail transport to one of two ocean shipping terminals on the B.C. coast: Pinnacle’s wholly-owned Westview terminal in Prince Rupert, and the Fibreco Terminal at the Port of Vancouver. The Alabama production facility utilizes inland waterways to cost-effectively transport pellets for ocean shipping via the Port of Mobile on the U.S. Gulf Coast.
